With the ever increasing demands on practical instructors to deliver wider skills as well as technical skills development, this session will focus on what instructors can do to facilitate outstanding learning. This workshop will incorporate:

• Planning activities surrounding routine skills development sessions as a meaningful learning experience
• How to use effective questioning techniques within practical settings
• Ideas to improve the effectiveness of learning environments and practical spaces
• Providing feedback and assessment opportunities in the vocational setting
